We are a group of friends who passionately love Jesus and live to impact the world and reflect the true nature of God.
The church started during 1986 when a small group of people, who were meeting from house to house,
after earnestly seeking God's face through much prayer and fasting, heard God say that He was through
them birthing a new church in the city of Port Elizabeth.
The group, who continued to meet from house to house, felt that they needed to relate to the wider
body of Christ, to receive ministry from the five-fold offices and to be under authority. After
prayerfully considering a number of different streams, they came to a unanimous decision that they
would relate to New Covenant Ministries under the leadership of Dudley Daniel.
Dudley was then the lead elder at New Covenant Church, Bryanston.
In March 1987, Tom and Una Tapping arrived from Johannesburg to head up the work, which was at that
stage approximately 60 people strong. The church, with a mission to impact the community through a
lifestyle of covenantal relationships, grew steadily in numbers.
After some years of moving from homes to larger venues as God added to the body,
the church acquired a property on which the house 'Victory House' stands. Subsequently adjacent
land was purchased on which the facility, which we call the Storehouse was built during 1992.
More recently further land adjacent to the Storehouse was purchased to serve as additional parking
facilities.
During March 1997, Tom and Una Tapping, who were called to lead a relating church in Somerset West,
handed over the reins of leadership to Richard and Zelda Preston, who are faithfully with a team of
elders, leading the church into fresh revelation of God's plan and purpose for the body. Richard
presently also serves on the Apostolic Team of New Covenant Ministries International,
under the leadership of Tyrone Daniel.
