So what are communities?
There's one thing that we at the Storehouse do not believe, and that is 'Sunday Christianity'!!
Sundays are for Celebrating as a family, worshipping, release of testimonies and much more, but it doesn't
stop there. How we live from Monday to Saturday is vitally important.
We therefore see the Communities as a place to 'Live out' the Mission Statement of the church,
that 'we are a group of friends who passionately love Jesus & live to impact the world &
reflect the true nature of God'.
In 2005, the Storehouse started a Sunday evening service as part of what we felt God was
doing to grow us in line with a Prophetic word given to the church. Until then, House churches
used to take place on Sunday evenings. It was therefore at this stage that the Communities were established.
There are currently 11 communities in place at the Storehouse. A leader & his team together
disciple, equip and love the priesthood of all believers to live in their calling and to live in
the Great Commission, touching our great city of Port Elizabeth and the nations.
The Communities meet mostly on Wednesday evenings but this is not cast in stone and can move
to accommodate or fit in with what God is doing in our midst.
The people of the Communities serve together as a team, eat together, pray together,
learn together, worship together, sometimes cry together, play together & generally
LIVE LIFE together!!
